Wild Goose: Glendalough Celtic Cross
The Wild Goose studio is located in a beautiful little coastal town known as County Kinsale, in the South of Ireland. Everything is hand crafted by the highly skilled craft-workers. Each unique piece has a metal skin which is either bronze or cast-iron, backed by a resin and ceramic core. They make a fantastic gift for someone whether it be for a wedding, anniversary, birthday or even a little house warming present. Glendalough meaning "the Glenn of Two Lakes," is a lovely glacial valley in County Wicklow. It is well-known for its Early Medieval monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin, The cross is the oldest of symbols standing for an encounter of the vertical with the horizontal, the feminine & masculine, temporal & eternal.
