The Kingsmeadow Centrepiece Bowl is so named after the location of The Original Waterford Crystal factory extended to. All of the craftsmen at The Irish Handmade Glass company learned their skills at the factory before its closure in 2009 and hence its name. The colours are expertly laid down in trails by a master blower and worked until the correct shape is achieved. The Kingsmeadow Bowl starts with a cobolt blue centre and raidiates with orange, lilac and yellow finishing with a cobalt blue rim. The blower then cuts into each piece to expose the crystal benaeth. Due to the handmade nature all sizes are approximate as not two pieces are ever the same The Kingsmeadow Bowl measures approximately 14 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall.
The Irish Handmade Glass Company was started after the closure of the renowned Waterford Crystal Factory in 2009 by four skilled craftsmen comprising of Master Cutters and Master Blowers from the original factory. All their pieces are furnaced, mouth blown and finished here in their studio in the heart of Waterford City in the old Viking Triangle and the quality and skill is evident in every single creation.
